TCTA determines project features, structure, criteria for success and major deliverables needed to achieve the goals of the ministerial directives that it receives. It handles all phases of water infrastructure build programme – work that comprises initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure of individual projects. However, the role of TCTA occasionally continues beyond the closure phase as it is responsible for the operation and maintenance of some of the completed water infrastructure.
