PAIA Manual
The government of the Republic of South African promulgated the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), 2000 to foster a culture of transparency and accountability in public and private bodies such as TCTA. It gives effect to the right to access to information and actively promoting a society in which citizens can fully exercise rights as enshrined in the Constitution.
In the spirit of PAIA, TCTA believes in and actively promotes transparency while exercising necessary caution in the way it shares information. The latter important as some of the information it discloses publicly might affect the instruments it uses to raise funding in the financial markets. Over and above PAIA, TCTA must consider the provisions of the Securities Services Act, 2004 and all other relevant laws and regulations when handling information disclosures.
The TCTA PAIA Manual provides a reference to the records held and the process to be followed to request access them.
